Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

Repayment of Money No Contract

My ex and I did a refi on our house that she currently lives in. The refi was mainly used to pay off credit card debt for me the other part for the house. After she broke off the relationship with me she wanted a full repay of the amount, Something that i wasent agreeing to. i have since paid her 11,000 and have stoped paying since the rest i feel i should get some equity out of the house. There was nothing signed and she had a number she expected me to pay and i told her i would not agree to anything but would pay untill i felt i had paid enough. The payments stopped 2 weeks ago and now she threatens legal action (Civil Court). What are my options and how good are her chances of winning or forrcing me to pay w/o any signed contract. She had my name taken off of the house so she asumed full ownership and makes all house payments herself and will receive all equity upon sale.

As in most cases,Timing is Everything.

Was the re-fi AFTER divorce was final? If so this essentially is a partnership dispute.

Have you consulted your divorce atty re: this matter?
