repossession of cars

i sold my car to someone and he still owes me $200. we set up to meet this friday. He told me he was putting the car in his mother's name and he would call me with her driver's license number in five minutes. Now he says that he doesn't want to transfer the title because he doesn't like the car but he is still driving the car around in my name. Can i reposses the car until he pays and transfers the tilte?

No. If your contract did not include a lien on the vehicle that was filed, you have no right of repossession. Such a lien must be part ofthe contract.
