Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

If I signed up for a van with my ex-fiance and he took the van when he up and left leaving his stuff behind, how can i get off loan. He is plannin in 2 weeks to give the van back after he gets a car. Please help! Also, he owes $890 in rent, can I hold his stuff until he pays being that he left it there? Can I have a dead bolt on so he cant get in?

You may only have your name removed from teh loan if your fiance refinances the debt into his name alone.

You cannot retain property that your fiance owns. If he owes back rent, your remedy is to sue in Conciliation court.
