Statute of Limitations
I have a company that is trying to collect a debt that is at least 9yrs old, if my debt at all. 1. what is the statute of limitations in Mn for collection of debt and 2. If the debt is not mine, how do I remove it. It does not show up on my credit report btw.

Normally contract debt has a 6 year Statute of Limitations. If a third-party collection agency is attempting to collect it, you may have an action against them for violating the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
