Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

How can I sue for monies owed me via verbal agreement

A supposed friend was coming to visit from Minneapolis and asked me to find him a plane ticket to visit. I called him and he asked me if I could put it on my charge card and he would send me a check. I put the ticket on my Amex card.

Then he decided to stay an extra day and when I changed the ticket it cost me another $100. Then he didn't bring a charge card to rent a car and ALamo would not accept a debit card. I put the car on my credit card. He also had a charge of gasoline on my credit card for the rental car.

He promised to make monthly payments since 7/3/03 but hasn't. Can I sue him from Florida for $560? He lives in MN

Yes, but the judgment would only be good in Florida.
