Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

unpaied invoice

9/5/2006 we did work on a customer's vehicle totaling over $5000 (icluding parts and labor). The customer was presented with an invoice showing the balance due, and promised to return the next business day with a cahier's check. In good fatih we took the customer's word. The customer to this day is virtualy unreachable, and has not paid any protion of the bill. Is there anything legally we can do about this?

You need to do a Sheriff's sale. It requires certain advance notice + procedures, but you get the car (or your $ + fees).I have experience in this area. Call for assistance.
