Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I am 17 in Minnesota and recently tried shoplifting for the first time and got caught trying to take 1200$ worth of items with the aid of others. I have 1 misdemeanor on my record and was an employee of the store we tried to shoplift from. I am very remorseful to say the least but my question is will I be tried as an adult, is there a best way I could avoid getting a felony, and will I most likely get a felony.

Yes it is sometimes possible to avoid a felony conviction. Actually, you should be working towards obtaining a deal to keep this off your record entirely. Step one is to retain an experienced an attorney to defend you. I would be happy to offer a free initial consultation if you are interested.
