Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I just got my 5th minor consumption this past weekend. This will be my 3rd in Stearns County. I never received a ticket, they said they will send it in the mail in a month. What should I be expecting to happen? I have never gone to court over this issue, only have paid the fines.

The problem is that a minor consumption is technically a Misdemeanor offense. A Misdemeanor can be punishable by up to 90 days in jail or $1,000. Although in many cases you will be given the option to simply pay a fine, the consequences can be very severe.
I would suggest contacting an attorney to review your case and let you know what options are available to you. Feel free to contact our office for a free initial consultation. 612-217-0077
