Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I was accused of keying a man's car, and now he says i have 3 options a. pay him 500 dollars b. He can call the police and have me start my criminal record or c. He can track me down and beat the shit out of me. Does this count as a threat? do i have to pay him? I have friends that can place me at a different location of where the car way keyed.

As worded here, you've described two threats. These threats could be alleged to be crimes: coercion 609.27, 609.275; terroristic threats 609.713; disorderly conduct 609.72. If you report it to police, I imagine they'd like to have proof to corroborate your claim - such as a recording or email, etc. where the person repeats the threat.
