Programs will vary. Usually printed info' is available prior to participating. I urge that if a person is facing a criminal charge of some sort, she/he should confer privately with an experienced attorney so she may advise her/him in great detail. There are instances, definitely, in which persons facing criminal charges do not want to go the pathway of a diversion program. Tricia Dwyer Esq. There is much local variation when it comes to "diversion programs." It would be wise to consult with your lawyer with questions like this. Once counseled by your attorney ahead of time, you may be able to attend such a meeting without a lawyer.
