Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I'm applying for a new job and there is the question " have you be convicted of a crime for breach of trust or dishonest". I was arrested and finger printed, but never went to court. I have the arrest showing on my criminal record but does not state dismissed or a conviction of the crime. Do i answer he above question as a yes or no?

A "conviction" requires either a guilty plea, or a guilty verdict, except for a petty misdemeanor which is not a crime, hence not a "criminal conviction."

It asks if you were "convicted." If you did enter a plea of guilty and were not found guilty by a jury, you were never convicted. The answer is "no."
