Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
i was arrested 11 years ago for theft (MN statue 609.52.2.1 and other statue 609.52.2.1.3.4), i was arrested, finger printed, held and release with a court date. When i wen to my court hearing, the court assistant told me it has been canceled and they will contact me. It's been 11 years now and i have never heard anything about this case, however i went to the BCA to get a copy of my record and it's showing that arrest but my disposition states HELD only?
Does this mean I was convicted of the crime?

I would have to review the record. It likely indicates that some hearing was "held." that is a designation that usually appears when a court hearing is scheduled. The disposition of the case would also be included in the record showing a dismissal or a conviction.
You cannot be convicted without a trial. If there was no trial, there was no conviction.
