He posted bail, and is planing on leaving the state to go on vacation. my question is. In the state of Minnesota is he able to leave the state on the bail bond or by the level of the crime he is being charged for? Or is he supposed to stay in the state of minnesota till the end of his trial? thanks

Re: Bail can he leave state

Conditions of pre-trial release, if any, can be set by the court (judge). Remaining within the state is often made a condition of release. When I have represented defendants who have needed to leave the state, for example for work reasons, we have asked the court to allow it, and this has generally been granted. However, I think that the court would look at such requests on a case-by-case basis.
