Unless it would be in violation of some law or rule of court, a case that has been dismissed by a prosecutor can be filed again in a new Complaint. One law that can limit this is a statute of limitations of prosecution, limiting the time for filing a criminal charge. The shortest I know of in Minnesota stattues is three years. There are some others. You could ask a criminal lawyer to review all the details of your case to try to determine if any apply.

Unless a Statute of limitation has lapsed, as long as the case was dismissed without prejudice, it may be recharged.
