Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

I was caught in a solicitation sting in Minneapolis

For my cooperation I was let go

within a couple hours so they could

continue their operation. They

explained that I would receive a

summons at a later date. I'm very

confused and unsure what to do and

what to expect. I want to avoid

having anyone find out of course and

need help in avoiding jail time. This

is my first offense.

You will be charged with a misdemeanor which is punishable by up to 90 days im jail and a $1000 fine. Obviously, the collateral consequences and stigma of such a conviction may exceed even the criminal penalties.

There may be many defenses to charges of solicitation depending on the evidence that exists. Often there will be video tape and usually there is an audio tape. We can assist you in seeking a resolution with minimal impact.
