changing of sentence
i was sentenced to a stay of imposition and a month later the courts sent me a letter saying it was changed to stay of execution can they do that

The court can change a sentence, but normally the defendant would have a right to be heard, at a hearing, before a change could be made. Contact your lawyer about it.

A sentence cannot be unilaterally changed after it is imposed. It would seem there was some confusion as to what was agreed upon at court and how you were originally sentenced.
