Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I was charged with felony fleeing. But what in fact happened was that a guy on a motorbike sped past me and i moved away and out of the police who instead of going after this guy came after me. I stopped a 100 feet of the road into a bluff. The report says i rode right up to a dead end which is false as i stopped way way ahead of this. What do i do to get this thrown out of court?

You need to get an attorney to represent you. This is a case that will revolve around which facts the court chooses to believe. In order to properly present your side of the story, you need a criminal defense attorney.
I would not expect the case to get thrown out of court before a trial simply because the police are completley wrong in their allegations of fact. What will help win the case is a well informed and determined client working with a persistent, strategic defense attorney to acheive a goal that the client set with the lawyer at the outset. First we try to win a case at the pretrial, evidentiary hearing. If that doesn't happen, then we set about working to win the jury trial. The facts you've presented here amount to a defense that you did not know that police wanted you to stop as opposed to another driver, but once you did know you stopped as soon as safely pratical. That is a defense to fleeing, if believed. What do you do? First, retain a good criminal defense lawyer. Then work with the lawyer to win.
