Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
clear record
I went to court and plead guilty to a first offense for shop lifting a 10.00$ item. I didnt think first offenses showed up on your record but it did, is there any way to remove this misdemeanor from my record?

Re: clear record
The is a possible way -- but it might not work unless the equities are strongly in your favor, and it would cost money to hire a lawyer to try for you. You could talk to a criminal defense lawyer about trying to withdraw your guilty plea and get the judgment vacated, and-or trying to get a court order "expunging" public records of it.
