Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
if someone has committed a crime of domestic abuse and the woman had decided to drop the charges after the fact....how long do they have to catch the person who committed the act?

The women does not have the authority to drop the charges, only the prosecuting authority has this authority. Once the charges have been filed law enforcement has forever "to catch the person who committed the act." A defendant cannot simply run to avoid facing the charges.
