Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

I confessed to a crime, it hasnt went to court yet, i was told it would remain private until I went to court and at that time it may or maynot get out to the public. I could be looked at as a public figure in my city, and word has got out into the public by what I am told from a police officer not even involved in the case. I just wanted this to stay quite to protect my family.

Many of the facts relating to the charges will probably not be released, but not your name or charges. As you can see in the daily newspaper, many people are named "allegedly" even without charges being filed.
