Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Crazy situation. Anyhow. I got a call from my neighbors daughter who is 20 years old, and no longer lives in the household. She has a brother who is 12 who still resides there with both parents. There have been a lot of ongoing issues, assults, ect, most recent mom was arrested for violating a OFP against our property managers. Mom also has a long history of mental illness. Today she took off without notice to her husband with their son. The son called his sister telling her he was afraid and needed help. What can be done??

There are a lot of factors that are unknown in this situation. Assuming that both the mother and father still share parental rights over the son. The father will likely have a cause of action against the mother for absconding with the son and essentially violating his parental rights. I would suggest contacting a family law attorney for more information in this situation.
If the father does not have parental rights, I don't believe anything can be done.
