Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

What do I do if i've been given an extention to retain a lawyer, and have court this afternoon, to keep me from being held in contemp of court, what do I do, or what do I say being I am not prepared without hired a lawyer? How do I get another extention, what do I ask?

If you were already granted a continuance to hire a lawyer and did not do so, the court is unlikely to grant a second one. You must be prepared to proceed and give testimony and/or present evidence as to why you are not in compliance with the existing court order or argue that you are in compliance.
