i feel bad because i lied and got my ex-boyfriend arrested
hi there, i caught my boyfriend cheating on me and called the police and lied to them saying he hit, threatend me and choked me, when all the while i was hitting on him. i feel real bad now because it was selfish of me to ruin his life like that. i wrote the d.a. a letter explaining all of this but they won't leave him alone or drop any charges. he is a nice boy and is really innocent. i need to know what to do so they drop this. and stop waisitng his time. they charged him with felony level threats and choking. please let me know what i should do or who i should talk to so this matter is done. thanks

You might consider contacting his lawyer to discuss what you could do; sending a letter to the prosecutor asking the criminal charges be dismissed; consider retaining your own lawyer for help. A lawyer could discuss with you in person, options which are difficult to post publicly on the internet.
