Felon with a Firearm Law
what exactly are the guidelines pertaining to this law. Is it true that if the weapon is not high powered, automatic, or concealed ect. ect.(?), the offense could only be chargeable under a low severity level gross misdemeanor

It is a serious felony under Minnesota Statutes Sec. 609.165, Subd. 1b and carries with it up to 15 years in prison and a fine of not more than $30,000.
Certainly negotiation with the prosecutor is possible.
