Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
My friend driving was pulled over for speeding (didn't recieve a speeding ticket). My friend sitting in passenger was searched and found a bong. The bong had no weed in it or a bowl on it. Therefore it would be impossible to smoke out of it. Does this help his situation at all?

Your case would have to be reviewed. However, the search can be challenged if there was no basis for the search to occur. That may be the critical issue. You should have your case reviewed by experienced counsel. For a consultation call 612-240-8005.
The full details need to be known. Since this occurred to your friend, I suggest the friend speak with an attorney at this time. The charge or charges your friend is facing are important to know and whether there is any prior criminal history, etc. Tricia Dwyer Esq at 612-296-9666.
