Would a gross misdemeanor, terroristic threats conviction affect that person's constitutional rights (ie: owning a gun)?

If the conviction is really as a gross misdemeanor, then there may not be a basis for ineligibility under state law. However, there might well be a federal prohibition. Talk through the specifics with your lawyer before making any decisions.
