Not guilty plea
Why does someone plea not guilty of a crime when they have been caught and are definitely guilty?

How do we know a person is guilty beyond any doubt, unless the person is afforded a fair procedure during which they are given a chance to defend themselves against the claim.
Things are not always what seem to be at first. History is full of examples of this. The prisons are full. Many there were falsely convicted of crimes they did not commit, even after our society's effort at a procedural fairness and trial.
