Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I came home and found my soon to be ex husband inside my home. We have not lived together in 2 years, he is not on the lease and he was not invited in since there was no one else at home when he arrived. When I saw his car in my drive, I went to the police station to let them that there may be a problem later on. My ex searched through my room, under mattresses, through my dresser, through my pc, transferring my tax files from my pc to his pc. I found him undressed, in my bed. We live in a small town and the officers are familiar with our situation, although they seem reluctant to issue any citations or make an arrest. What could or should he have been charged with? And an OFP is not an option at this time.
