Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
. I was imposed a fine, stayed jail time, and conditions of probation. I have a probation violation hearing soon, due to my non-compliance. If I decide to execute my jail time is the fine still owed?

Yes, though most likely it will go to "collections." That is, the Court will continue to try to collect it, and if you ever have a State tax refund, it will be deducted from that.
