Recent cite for Indecent Conduct statute 617.23 (Minnesota)
Need to know how to proceed!
Have not made my 1st plea yet...Because of
embarrasment and just to get it over with I
anticipate a plea of guilty. Ideas?
Could I get it reduced? Current trends in
MN court on this sort of thing. Fine?
Jail? Any help or advice would be appreciated!
Thanks

If you have a clean record, you may be able to resolve this matter without pleading to anything. In most cases, the prosecutor may agree to a stay of prosecution (continuing the matter for a probationary period and if there are no same or similar offenses, the matter is dropped). You are not likely to be offered this deal without an atty since the prosecutor will feel that the matter is unlikely to proceed to trial.
