Interstate Travel felons

3rd degree sexual assualt - is it legal for minn county court to not allow travel to Utah. It was added to the court ruling while the victim was--name removed--minor. Now the victim is 22? The felon is desiring to take his own child to school in Utah and would like to get--name removed--travel permit to do so.

The travel restriction is presmably a condition of probation -- a stayed prison term.

He may wish to contact his lawyer to discuss. Probably defendant and lawyer would try to persuade probation officer to extent possible, any other persons with influence over the question, and then finally perhaps go to the judge -- to request authorization for this travel.
