Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
In june 2011 my sons father was arrested for domestic assult and a no contact order was put in place as part of his criminal sentence and since then we have both completed treatment I have writen several letters to the county attorney and one went in front of the judge but he did not say yes or no to droping it so what else can I do to get this no contact order dropped I would really like to put my family back togeathe I feel it has been far to long and it doesn' t expire till october 2013

There is no easy answer. Here are a couple ideas. Seek help from his probation officer. Seek help from a domestic abuse advocate. Get a favorable letter from the treatment providers and provide it to key decision makers including the probation officer, the prosecutor, the judge. If all that doesn't work, keep trying; and then seek help from a local criminal lawyer.
