Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
license revocation
I pleaded guilty to a DWI/refusal and
I was told that by doing so I would
get my license revocation reduced to
a 180 days instead of 1 yr. because it
was my first DWI offense. Now it's
close to that 180 day mark and I'm
not sure who to call or contact about
getting my license back. I already
paid the reinstated fee I already took
the DWI written test. And If I call
the Minnesota Transportation
department what should I say?

Re: license revocation
Don't call them. Call the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) -- Driver Evaluation. Make sure you have met all conditions of reinstatement (which you would have, if you have a limited licence or "work permit" already). You can check your drivers license status on the DPS website, too.
