Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Mail tampering
Ex-wife received mail adressed to me with her address. Parcel was opened, read, resealed with tape and readdressed to my home. Is she guilty of mail tampering and should I pursue?

Re: Mail tampering
It is conceivable there was a criminal violation, but unless it is part of a pattern of such behavior and mail is missing or defaced, I would not pursue a complaint. The fact is that many people receive mail addressed to their ex-spouse, a former tenant, or neighbor, and often unthinkingly open it, not paying attention to the address. I wouldn't pursue it.
