In Minnesota a simple misdemeanor crime can be punsished with a maximum 90 days jail and $1,000 crime, in addition to the public criminal record.

A misdemeanor is a criminal offense that carries with it up to 90 days in jail and/or a $1000 fine as maximum penalties. You can receive jail time if you are convicted of a misdemeanor. The outcome often depnds on the strength of your potenital defense, the particular facts of the case and the charge and past criminal record.
