money seized

i had money seized in a drug raid wich they only found a small amount marijuana..how can i go about getting it back?? and what are my chances

To seek a return of money forfeited to the state as the fruit of a criminal offense, you would have to sue the state civilly seeking a return of the seized property. to prevail, you would have to demonstrate that the property was not used in the commission of a criminal offense and was not the resulting fruit of a criminal offense.

How? Look at the drug forefeiture statutes for the procedure. If it is a Minnesota state case (as opposed to federal), look at my website for links to some of those statutes:

Generally, it involves suing the government.

As for your chances of winning, that depends upon the facts and whether you have a lawyer helping you.
