open bottle
hoe long does an open bottle offense stay on your record?

Re: open bottle
It depends on the nature of the offense, the state in which the offense occurred, how long ago it occurred. As a practical matter, if you have a conviction for an open bottle violation in Minnesota, and it occurred within the last ten to fifteen years (that is, during the age of computers), you should expect that it is there almost indefinitely. Even if the case was dismissed, evidence of the charge will show up on your driving record.
Whether it will still be there as far as an insurance company is concerned is another matter. At some point, violations are no longer relevant to your insurance rating, although I do not know when that is, off the top of my head.
