Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
open bottle
Is an open bottle ticket simply a citation? I understand it is a misdemeaner, but can I just pay the ticket and be done with it? Are there any further consequences?

Re: open bottle
A misdemeanor is punishaable by up to 90 days in jail and a $1000 fine. As a result, it requires an appearance in court. You would also be wise to hire counsel.
