Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Hi, I was at a outdoor concert and I got drunk and I got upset at a guy there for being rude, I didn't hit anyone but I knocked my girlfriends beer out of her hand so she wouldn't get anymore drunk and we could leave but as soon as I did that the cops arrested me for disorderly conduct, i was released the next morning and didn't have any kind of jail bond or anything like that. My gf is not upset at me at all and she was confused why they arrested me for knocking her beer out of her hand. But I have to go to court. wondering if I should get a attorney for this or not? I have a clean record and this is a first time thing for me. Thanks

Yes hire an attorney. You're charged with a crime. You don't want this thing on your permanent record.
Yes, get an attorney. Most criminal defense attorneys are pretty good at keeping things like this off your record (no guarentees). And you really want it kept off your record.
If you want to keep your criminal record clean, it's a good idea to enlist the help of a criminal defense lawyer. Without one, you are in a weak position.
