If the check was in your name and your signature was forged, you may report the matter to police to be prosecuted as a criminal theft and/or forgery. You may also sue in court to recover any money taken.

I agree with Mr. Beaulier, but you should speak to your father before getting the police involved to see if you can get the matter cleared up.
