Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
can a petty misdemeanor for public possession of alcohol be expunged? Is it worth getting it expunged? Do I have to respond yes to being convicted of a crime if a petty misdemeanor is not considered a crime in MN?

Yes it can be expunged, however, some records cannot be expunged fully. Since it is only a petty misdemeanor conviction and results in no real record it is probably not worth it. As far as the employer question I would say "no" you have not been convicted of a crime.
