When someone agrees to a plea bargain with the charges being dropped after one year (with no same or similar), are those charges dropped off of one's criminal record?

Re: plea bargains - public record after dismissal of charge

No. If a criminal charge is dismissed, that means the accused was not convicted. Generally, court records are public, as are many law enforcement agency records. To get those records sealed from public view, you can petition the court for a statutory expungement.

Re: plea bargains

No. The charges are dismissed and they will be reflected as dismissed on the recod. if dismissed, in most cases, the person may file for a statutory expungement to have the offense removed from the record.
