power of attorney
can my wife give me power of attorney so i can represent her in a court arraignment for traffic violation ?

No. If you are not a licensed attorney, you can not provide legal representation for her in any capacity. A "Power of Attorney" only gives you the right to make certain decisions on her behalf, not to represent her. Further, the POA (which, as you may know, permits her to designate the scope of your power), does not contemplate that you will stand in her shoes in a traffic or criminal proceeding. That is beyond the scope of the power.

You may not represent a person in court without have a law license. Doing so is practicing law without a license.
