Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
probation violation
i was ordered by the court to complete outpatient treatment. i have not yet enrolled but my probation has not expired yet. will i get violated if i enroll now,even though i may not get done by my probation expiration date?

They can seek to violate your probation if it has not been completed. The end result is that they may extend your probation to allow that completion to occur.

It's possible. But if you communicate with the probation office, chances are they may be willing to extend (prolong) your probation to allow completion, rather than revoke and send you to jail.
