Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Property was stolen and broken by a room mate. How do I go about getting restitution for the item broken and get the stolen items back?

You would have to sue in Conciliation court for the value of the items broken and/or taken. to seek a return of the items requires commencing a Replevin action in District court which is far more costly and complicated.
