Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I put 2500.00 down on a 10,000 bill for a lawyer for my son he skipped town am i liable for the 7500.00 left to pay if i dont need their help anymore.

The answer depends on the Contract you signed with the law office. If they have not performed any service and the service is no longer necessary, you should receive a refund of the $2500. If the attorney noted their representation in court and it is a criminal case, they are still obligated to continue representation unless the court allows them to withdraw as counsel.
