Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
I was recently sentenced a conditional discharge for marijuana use and no arrest was involved. Will this show up on a background check?

Yes, depending on the type of discharge the case will likely show up on your record. For more information about if and how this will show up, I would suggest you contact the local courthouse and pull your record.
Your case would have to be reviewed to determine what , if anything, would appear on your record. It is likely that your record would show that you were charged, and, after a probationary period, the charged were dismissed. If that is the case, you may qualify to have the entire recorde expunged so that nothing would appear on a background check.
