Sales and Possesion Charge
On a controlled by, when do the buy funds have to be presented as evidence? Or can they wait before trial before presenting it?

The government should disclose evidence it has against the accused before trial, per the Rules of Criminal Procedure and any applicable defense motions. The defense can seek a remedy from the court, should the government fail to properly disclose. At trial, the government must present sufficient evidence of guilt to persuade a jury beyond all reasonable doubts of guilt, in order to get a "guilty" verdict. Whether the buy money itself is required to meet that burden may be another question.
