Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Hello my name is Scott i am writing to you to ask a question regarding a legal matter I recently was issued a citation and charged with inpersonating a police officer in minnesota . i have gone to court to plead not guilty with a pre-trial date set for December 15, 2011. i have also hired a lawyer for 5,000.00 to get this charge dimissed and erased from my record i have no criminal record and have recently graduated from college to become hopefully a police officer or work in the criminal justice field. Please tell me what are my chances with this getting dismissed and erased from my record so i can become a police officer or work in the filed. Please let me know for this was all a misunderstanding between a friend of mine and someone else who wanted to start trouble for me because the other person does not like me. So hopefully you can help me with a solution. Thanks for listening and any help Scott
P. S tell me what I should do.
1 Answer from Attorneys
What you need to do is talk to your attorney. Your attorney knows more about the case than you have told us. Your attorney is in the best position to answer these questions.
If your attorney is not answering these questions, you should get an attorney that will. But I suspect that if you sit down and talk to your attorney, they will give you a better answer than we can give.
