Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota
Sleeping in a vehicle
I will be traveling and backpacking all of next year solo. My budget will not include hotels. I want to be able to sleep in the back of my truck when not on the trails. Is it legal?

Re: Sleeping in a vehicle
Unless there's a local ordinance against sleeping in cars you likely should not have a problem. Especially while travelling. Do however be careful about having any alcohol and then sleeping in your car. Even though you are sleeping in the car and the keys are not in the ignition you could still be charged with DUI!
Also, there are the common everyday life dangers of sleeping somewhere where you are vulnerable.
Good luck on your trip.
Nicolas.
